      Robert Foley Wines is a Californian wine producer located in the Howell Mountain AVA (American Viticultural Area) in the Napa Valley. Proprietor Robert Foley is a renowned winemaker—one of a select few that has been producing wine in the region since the 1970s. The flagship wine of the Robert Foley portfolio in the Claret, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. After hand-picked grapes arrive in the winery, fermentation takes place in stainless steel prior to barrel-aging in French oak. Claret will happily cellar for a couple of decades. Other wines in the collection are primarily big, rich reds from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. There is also some less common varietal wines from the area including Petite Sirah and Charbono. Robert Foley Wines owns an estate vineyard on Howell Mountain planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Foley sources grapes from a number of growers in the Napa Valley, focusing on fruit from hillside locations with well-draining soils.
