This vintage presents a deep, dark ruby color that hints at its depth and richness. On the nose, it offers an alluring bouquet of ripe blackberries, black currants, and dark cherries, complemented by notes of graphite, cedar, and a touch of leather. The palate is full-bodied and textured, with a rich tapestry of dark fruit flavors, dark chocolate, and espresso, all supported by well-integrated, velvety tannins. The wine’s balanced acidity and robust structure lead to a long, refined finish with lingering hints of sweet oak and a whisper of spice.

Kamen Estate Wines is a California wine producer located on the southern Mayacamas Mountain range in Sonoma. The estate was purchased in 1980 by Robert Mark Kamen and in 1999, released the first vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon. The Kamen property spans 113 hectares (280 acres) of land and includes steep and rocky terrain, formed by volcanic activity. The site is situated on the southwest slopes of Mount Veeder and Moon Mountain, and was one of the first certified organic vineyards in California. 20ha (50 acres) of the estate is planted to vineyards, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah, Grenache, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier for the production of varietal and blended wines. Kamen's top wine, Kashmir Cuvée, is only produced in exceptional vintages and in tiny quantities. It is sourced hand-harvest from a blend of the best lots of Cabernet Sauvignon on the estate. In the winery, each lot is fermented and barreled separately before blending. Other notable wines in the collection inlclude the Lava Block, a single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and the Writer's Block which is a blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah.
