      Producer Information

Melka Wines is a Napa Valley wine producer, founded by Cherie and Philippe Melka in 1996. It produces a collection of four wines, sourced locally in Napa and Sonoma as well as internationally from Saint-Émilion. The Melka portfolio of wines is composed of four different labels, Métisse, Mekerra, Majestique and CJ. According to Melka, the wines are produced to reflect the terroir, in particular, the soil from which they are grown. Métisse is a collection of Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant wines with smaller portions of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot depending on the vintage and vineyard from which each is sourced; the Montbleau Vineyard is 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon whilst the Martinez Vineyard and Jumping Goat Vineyard are both blends. Majestique is the international label of the brand. The Le Chatelet from Saint-Émilion is a Cabernet Franc and Merlot blend which has been produced by Melka for about 15 vintages. Mekerra is produced in tribute to Philippe's father and is sourced from the eponymous vineyard in Knights Valley. It is composed of a varietal Chardonnay and Merlot as well as both a red and a white blend. CJ is produced in tribute to the Melka's two children, Chloe and Jeremy and is designed to be consumed young.
