      Producer Information

Mark Herold Wines is a Napa Valley based wine producer with a tasting room in downtown Napa. It produces a small collection of wines from Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Tempranillo amoungst others. The Mark Herold wine portfolio contains single-vineyard and appellation-based selections as well as both recent vintages and cellared wines. Varietal wines from Cabernet Sauvignon feature heavily, a majority of which are barrel-aged in French oak for up to 20 months prior to bottling. Other wines in the collection include The Collide which is an unusual blend of Petite Sirah, Tempranillo, Graciano and Cabernet Sauvignon with the concentration of each variety depending on the vintage. The Herold Sauvignon Blanc is fermented and aged in concrete eggs of which utilizes convection currents to keep yeast cells suspended throughout the wine. Grapes are sourced from mulitple AVAs (American Viticultural Areas) including Oakville, Coombsville and Atlas Peak. The Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from Sonoma Valley where a cooler climate allows for the retention of acidity.
