      Producer Information

Jean-Philippe Fichet is a wine producer based in the town of Meursault in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy. In keeping with the locale, Fichet's wines are predominantly white, based on the local flagship, Chardonnay. The genesis of the domaine was established by the eponymous Jean-Philippe in the early 1980s after taking over a share-cropping agreement for a vineyard under family control. Although this vineyard lease came to a close ten years later, Fichet was able to find financial backing to set up again in Meursault in the 1990s. Along with cellar expansion and redevelopment in the early 2000s, Fichet was also able to consolidate the ownship of certain parcels of vines. Grapes are hand-picked with vineyard plots pressed and fermented separately on arrival in the winery. Lees stirring (bâtonnage) varies from vintage to vintage.
