Distillery Information
Domaine Zind-Humbrecht is a highly regarded winery located in Turckheim, Alsace, and has been producing a range of wines from its own vineyards across the region for more than 50 years. A portion of the land that the domaine currently sits on has been passed through the Humbrecht family since 1620. Zind-Humbrecht was created in 1959 through the marriage of two winemaking families. Vineyards owned by both families, mostly on the hillside sites of the Vosges Mountains, were amalgamated into one domaine. Today the domaine is run by Olivier and Margaret Humbrecht, who have been in charge since 1989. Zind-Humbrecht currently has 40 hectares (100 acres) under vine, with just under half located near the new winery in the middle of the Herrenweg vineyard in Turckheim. The rest of the vineyards are spread out between the regions of Hunawihr, Thann, Gueberschwihr and Wintzenheim.
