      Gusbourne’s 2021 Brut Reserve is a blend of 71% Chardonnay, 18% Pinot Noir and 11% Pinot Meunier. On the nose, it presents a medley of ripe stone fruits, green apple and nectarine, and toasted almond. The palate is characterised by ripe citrus and orchard fruit flavours, including pear and red apple, with subtle undertones of white peach and raspberry. Complementing the generous fruit profile are soft spice, apple pie, and custard notes, culminating in a prolonged, focused, and mineral-laden finish.

      Distillery Information

      Gusbourne Estate is a leading producer of estate-grown English sparkling and still wine from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The business was founded by orthopaedic surgeon Andrew Weeber, who bought the 196-hectare (490-acre) estate at Appledore in Kent in 2003, and planted 20ha of vines the following year. Weeber sold a majority share to Lord Michael Ashcroft in 2013. The debut vintages (2006) of Brut Reserve and Brut Blanc de Blancs were released in 2010 to immediate acclaim. Gusbourne Estate is a multiple winner of the International Wine & Spirit Competition English Wine Producer of the Year Award.
