Ghost Block is a Napa Valley wine brand with a focus on small production single vineyard estate wines. It makes Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel sourced from vineyards in Yountville and Oakville. Launched in 2006, it's one of three labels produced by the Napa based wine company Bonded Winery No. 9 along with Elizabeth Rose and Oakville Winery. The Ghost Block label makes wine from several vineyards but is named after a specific property farmed by Bonded Winery No. 9. In total the Napa Wine Company owns over 242 hectares (600 acres) of vineyards along the Oakville and Yountville border, all of which are farmed with certified organic practices. Bonded Winery No. 9 takes its name from its historical site where the 9th commercial winery was established in California in 1877. It is now the production arm of the Napa Wine Company which makes several labels of its own as well as selling estate grapes to other producers, running a custom crush winery and operating and leasing winemaking facilities where roughly two dozen wine labels are made.
