Black Cottage is a winery based in Marlborough, New Zealand. Wines are also made from parcels of fruit from the Central Otago and Hawke's Bay regions. The eponymous building sits alongside the Opawa River, and is used as guest accommodation. Founder David Clouston, who also heads Two Rivers, is a keen cricketer. In 2020 the back garden of the Black Cottage became the home ground of the United Country Vineyard Cricket Team. In 2020, more than 500 native plants were planted along the river at the property to promote biodiversity. Lightweight bottles are used to reduce carbon emissions. Most of the range is vegan-friendly from the 2020 vintage onwards.
