Distillery Information
Domaine Michel Bouzereau et Fils is a wine producer based in the town of Meursault, in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune subregion. The winery produces a range of wines from local and neighboring appellations. The Bouzereau family have been making wine in this region for seven generations, but it wasn't until 1971 that the domaine was officially established. Today, it comprises 11 hectares (27 acres) of vineyard divided between the appellations of Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Volnay, Pommard and Beaune. Jean-Baptiste Bouzereau inherited the domaine from his father Michel in 1999. Since then, he has implemented a series of changes to the winemaking processes previously instigated by his father, including a reduction in battonage, or lees stirring.
