      Producer Information

Jermann is a wine producer located in Fruili-Venezia Giulia in the north eastern corner of Italy, on the Austrian border. Its focus is on white wines made from both local and international grape varieties, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Riesling, and Franconia. The estate was founded by Anton Jermann, a native of Austria, who settled in Italy and continued producing wines as he had done in his homeland. Since 1970, his great-grandson Silvio Jermann, has been in charge of the company and has helped bring it, and its wines, into modernity. In 1975, when the rest of the region was experimenting with single-varietal bottling, Jermann began to produce blends of local varieties like Franconia, Pinot Nero, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio and Picolit.
