Nose: Honey, fruity. Thick malt, enlivened by a fresh, zesty quality.

Palate: Smooth, vanilla, undulating, refined smoke.

Finish: Peters out gently, perhaps some ripe white peach notes and a good wave of honey.

Distillery Information

The Aberfeldy distillery was opened in 1896 by John Dewar & Sons, who were a Perth-based blending company. One of John Dewar’s sons, Tommy, was the man who made the company a global Whisky power, with Aberfeldy malt at the heart of the company’s blends. Aberfeldy distillery is fed by the Pitilie Burn, where gold is still panned today. Aberfeldy is home to a superb visitor and educational centre, and the whiskies are known for their rich, honeyed sweetness and smooth, creamy texture.
