Distillery Information
Founded in 2012 by Miyashita Shuzo, Miyashita Distillery, also known as Okayama Distillery, was established in the west of Honshu in the north of Shikoku Island. Miyashita Shuzo is the story of two brothers, Kamezo and Motosaburo Miyashita, who, at an early age, find themselves in the care of a relative following the sudden death of their beloved father. Their relative is at that time the manager of a famous brewery in Japan. They then found themselves immersed in the heart of Japanese know-how, particularly in the making of Sake. Over the years, they became interested in the world of sake, perfecting their skills and enriching their creativity to realize their dream of founding their own brewery. In 1915, the Miyashita Sake Brewery was founded and a few decades later, it became a distillery.
