Nose: The richly sweet honey and vanilla heart is wrapped in a veil of warm peat smoke and pierced by overtones of fresh green apples, orange peel and cut spring flowers.
Palate: Rich and full-bodied, the taste is bursting with powerful wood smoke. It opens up to exotic spices, honey, delightful toffee sweetness and a hint of freshly squeezed lemons.
Finish: Perfect, long lasting finish.
Distillery Information
The story of the Knockdhu distillery, and the outstanding whisky it produces, were brought to life by a man of vision. The discovery of pure water springs on nearby Knock Hill, coupled with a landscape rich in peat and barley and the nearby Great North of Scotland railway line, presented a golden opportunity to John Morrison, who purchased the Knock estate in 1892.
