Distillery Information

"Ardmore Distillery, founded in 1898 by Adam Teacher in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, has a rich story rooted in supplying the famous Teacher's Highland Cream blend, leveraging its prime location near water, peat, barley, and crucial railway access for distribution. It remained a core component for Teacher's for decades, expanding its stills and even using coal fires until 2001, eventually becoming part of Allied Distillers and later Beam Suntory. While historically blend-focused, Ardmore has gained acclaim for its own single malt releases, known for their signature peated character and traditional methods, including the popular Ardmore Traditional/Legacy expressions."
