Arran 24-Year-Old 1996 Exclusive For The Netherlands Cask #839 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose reveals a rich fruitiness of a blend of berries, a few earthy notes, and tobacco, with lighter notes of orange zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Palate: On the palate, cherries, and cocoa powder are complemented by soft mint, mocha, and nuts, as well as hints of charred oak.

Finish: The finish features touches of mint and dark chocolate, transitioning into a long, sweeter finish.

Distillery Information

As an island whisky, it might be thought that Arran would always have been peaty. Instead, it started life as a non-smoky ‘Highland-style' malt. Like any newly built distillery, the equipment is in an easily managed single-tier space with small semi-lauter mashtun, wooden washbacks, and two pairs of small stills.
