Distillery Information

The Arran distillery story began in the early 1990s with Harold Currie, a former executive at Chivas Brothers, who decided to build a legal distillery on the Isle of Arran after being inspired at a dinner. After founding Arran Distillers in 1994, construction started, facing a brief halt due to golden eagles nesting nearby, and the distillery began production in 1995.
