This expression was distilled on Halloween (31 October) 1996 and aged for 22 years in a refill hogshead. Released in September 2019 as a Halloween Edition, it’s part of the Old Particular line and limited to only 183 bottles. Unchill-filtered and without added coloring, it delivers full flavor and character from its barrel aging.

Nose: Rich aromas of mature oak, Halloween spices, caramel, and dried fruit.

Palate: Deep and robust, with notes of roasted nuts, dark chocolate, vanilla, and dark orchard fruits balanced by woody warmth.

Finish: Long, warming, with lingering oak, spice, and a subtle earthy smokiness.

Distillery Information

Auchentoshan is a whisky producer located at Dalmuir, near Glasgow, in the Scottish Lowlands. Established in 1823, the site was rebuilt after World War II bombing and has remained operational ever since. Today Auchentoshan is owned by Suntory Global Spirits through Morrison Bowmore Distillers and is unusual among Scottish malt distilleries for triple-distilling all of its spirit.
