Producer Information
Behrens Family Winery is a Napa Valley wine producer located within the Spring Mountain AVA (American Viticultural Area). The estate produces a small range of wines per year at its Spring Mountain winery from varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The Behrens wine portfolio changes slighlty from year to year, depending on the growing season and external contracts. Recent releases include The Cemetery, a varietal Cabernet Sauvignon and the Blender Boy which is a Cabernet Franc-dominant blend with portions of Petit Sirah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes for each limited production wine are handpicked in the vineyard to preserve phenolic compounds and prevent excess oxidation. After fermentation, the wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
