Benromach Traditional Pre 2014 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Pine oils, fresh. Sweetness, nutty, smoky. Stem ginger, bog myrtle, acacia honey.

Palate: Floral, grassy. Heather and hedgerow berries. Buttery, spicy.

Finish: Quite sweet, tannic. Citrus notes, a tad more stem ginger, zesty.

"Benromach distillery, founded in 1898 near Forres, Scotland, has a turbulent history of closures and reopenings, finally finding stability when acquired by the independent bottlers Gordon & MacPhail in 1993. They meticulously restored it to revive traditional Speyside methods, reopening in 1998 to produce a handcrafted, subtly smoky single malt, a lost style from the region, using traditional, small-batch techniques."
