Nose Smoky notes of pear compote and vanilla.

Palate Full body with a creamy texture and delicately sweet notes of peat smoke and sea salt, with caramel and black tea.

Finish Long with notes of earthy peat smoke, pome fruit and honey.

Distillery Information

Blackadder was founded in 1995 by Robin Tucek and John Lamond, who had together published The Malt Whisky File: The Essential Guide for the Malt Whisky Connoisseur in 1987. The duo named their bottling company after the fugitive 17th century preacher John Blackadder, who evaded the authorities for seven years. Blackadder’s Raw Cask series was launched in 2000, although the following year Lamond left the business. Tucek’s daughter, Hannah, joined the company in 2005.
