Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2006 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Aromatic barley and an array of other golden notes; vanilla custard, dahlias, grapefruit blossom, cold lemon curd and orange zest.

Palate: Creamy with acacia honey, butter on toast, a little corn and sliced citrus fruits.

Finish: Dried grass, vanilla and roasted chestnuts on a cool Spring day.

"Bruichladdich's story is one of innovation, closure, and remarkable revival: founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers on Islay, it was a modern marvel, but faced mothballing before being rescued in 2000 by Murray McDavid, who reopened it with artisan methods and unique whiskies like Octomore."
