This process gives the whisky intense notes of caramel and creamy chocolate, which are deepened by 26 years of maturation in high-quality first-fill bourbon casks.

Palate: Creamy butterscotch envelops the mouth developing into layers of crème brûlée, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, spiced pear and warm vanilla.
Finish: A comforting warm, smooth finish with the return of gentle oak, honeyed apples and pears lingering on the tongue.
Distillery Information
The Old Bushmills distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, is the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery, with a grant to distill dating back to 1608. The license was granted to Sir Thomas Phillips by King James I, along with lands in the area. The whiskeys have done well in competition, particularly the Black Bush, and the distillery has the distinction of featuring both on a banknote and in James Joyce's classic modernist novel Ulysses.
