Caol Ila 12 Year Old The Haunting Songs Whisky Heroes is a limited-edition, age-statement single malt whisky produced at the Caol Ila Distillery on the isle of Islay. Bottled as part of Brave New Spirits` Whisky Heroes series, this 12-year-old expression of Caol Ila peated malt was finished in a first-fill oloroso Sherry butt and bottled in 2024 at a cask strength of 51.6%. Just 694 bottles were filled.

Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.

Distillery Information

Caol Ila's story began in 1846 when Hector Henderson, a Glasgow businessman, established the distillery near Port Askaig, a bustling harbour on Islay. The distillery's location offered convenient access to supplies and shipping routes, enabling its products to reach the mainland with ease.
