Nose: Very elegant and precise aromas.

Distillery Information

This largest distillery on the island is located directly on the shore of the Sound of Islay. It was founded in 1846 by Hector Henderson. Caol Ila can boast almost completely consistent production since its opening, having only closed briefly during the Second World War due to regulations placed on the use of barley.
