Chicken Cock Southern Spiced Flavored Whiskey
Whiskey: Chicken Cock Southern Spiced Flavored
Chicken Cock Whiskey was a popular American brand before Prohibition, during which the company relocated to Canada. Despite the country's dry spell, their whiskey was smuggled illegally and in speakeasies, was known as "the brand served in a tin can." Today, the relaunched brand can be found in quick-chill aluminum bottles. Chicken Cock Southern Spiced is an 86-proof flavored whiskey bottled in Charleston, South Carolina.

Chicken Cock is a line of unusually flavored whiskeys with a chicken on the bottle. The Chicken Cock Southern Spiced whiskey uses an infusion of different (unnamed) spices and suggest drinking as a shooter. According to the 2013 filling with the federal Tax and Trade Bureau, the whiskey is produced out of rectification and flavor specialists Terressentia out of South Carolina but owned by Matti Antilla of Grain and Barrel Brands (formerly Island Club Brands) of Florida, though the bottle mentions a Chicken Cock Whiskey as the owner.

Grain & Barrel Spirits is an innovation-driven alcohol beverage company adept at identifying emerging trends and monetizing them with nimble new product development. Leveraging one of the most successful independent brand launches of the past year in Chicken Cock Whiskey ($1.6 million + in sales), Grain & Barrel Spirits has created an incubator platform designed to develop, test and scale brands. Operating within a highly acquisitive industry where large suppliers lack internal innovation and therefore must acquire it, Grain & Barrel Spirits's goal is to monetize brand successes on a recurring basis, while having a consistent pipeline of new product development targeting niche, but highly scalable, on-trend opportunities.
