Nose: Fresh agave, wild strawberry and red‑fruits from the wine barrel finish, vanilla, with subtle citrus zest and toasted oak.
Palate: Smooth and layered: ripe berries, honey, vanilla, oak‑driven spice and a hint of citrus.
Finish: Long, velvety finish with lingering fruit, warm spice, subtle floral sweetness and oak residue.
Distillery Information
Código 1530 has its estate‑agave grown in the volcanic soils around Amatitán, Jalisco. For this special edition with Kevin O’Leary, the agave is matured, cooked, pressed for first‑juice only, fermented (in part in wine barrels) and distilled under full control. After that the tequila is rested in Napa Valley Cabernet wine barrels (and in some descriptions French white oak) to achieve the delicate blush hue and enhanced complexity. The “Wonderful Edition” is created in small batch, with no sweeteners, additives or colourings. Its release is aimed at both premium tequila drinkers and collectors of special‑edition spirits.
