Compagnie Des Indes Barbagaya 14 Year Old Small Batch | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: At first honeyed aroma emerges from the glass, then aromas of prunes and currants. It evolves into pine sap, iodine, and candied orange.

Palate: A franc, woody, and roasted attack. Followed then by iced chestnut and English fudge notes, but also a touch of sweet chilli, mixed with lemongrass.

Finish: It’s deliciously indulgent, with the impression of biting into a pancake spread.

And so La Compagnie des Indes was born, inspired by the Portuguese, Dutch and French East India Companies of the 17th and 18th centuries. These companies travelled the world to bring back rare commodities for their respective countries to discover.
