Distillery Information

"Cragganmore Distillery, founded in 1869 by legendary distiller John Smith, is a Speyside icon known for its complex, fruity whiskies, thanks to unique, tall, flat-bottomed stills and traditional worm tubs. Smith strategically built it near the Strathspey Railway for easy transport, a first for Speyside, making it efficient from the start. The distillery passed through family hands, endured WWI, and eventually became part of the Distillers Company Ltd. (DCL), later Diageo, becoming a core component of their Classic Malts range, celebrated for its "most complex nose"."
