Nose: Sweet notes of vanilla and caramel are intertwined with cedar, wood spice, and hints of ripe fruits.
Palate: Rich, yet dry on the palate. Honey spice, stone fruits, toasted oak, and a gentle note of freshly cut grass.
Finish: The lingering finish of desiccated coconut and a touch of cocoa.
Distillery Information
Deanston's founder, Brodie Hepburn transformed an old cotton mill into the perfect place to make whisky. He looked to the nearby River Teith and saw the strength to power a distillery. He also saw the community with the passion and ethic to become true whisky makers. Deanston whisky is known for its fruity spirit and unique waxy quality, which makes it a dream pairing with all sorts of cask types – from classic sherry and bourbon to stout, and even Tequila. The newest addition to the Deanston family is Virgin Oak Cask Strength, which brings all the buttery sweetness of the original at a bumped-up ABV!
