      Producer Information

Domaine Chandon is a sparkling wine producer located in Yountville of Napa Valley, California. Sourcing fruit from several AVA’s within Napa, Chandon focuses on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, made in both still and sparkling styles. Established in 1973, Domain Chandon was created by the Champagne producer Moët and Chandon and businessman John Wright. It was the first time that a sparkling wine house in Napa Valley was owned by the French. The sparkling wines are made with the traditional Champagne method. They range from easy drinking and affordable, such as the Brut Classic and Chandon Rosé, to the complex and rich Étoile Tête de Cuvée, only produced in certain vintages. Grapes are sourced from Napa’s cooler regions including Los Carneros, Mount Veeder, as well as the estate vineyard in Yountville. While sparkling wines are the focus at Domaine Chandon, still wines of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir are also produced. Production is relatively large, and the wines can be found in numerous merchants around the United States and internationally. Domaine Chandon have expanded internationally with wineries located in Argentina, Brazil, China and India with Chandon Australia the most prolific. Domaine Chandon was famous for its Michelin-starred restaurant Étoile, the only fine dining restaurant located within a winery in Napa Valley. However, after 37 years of business, the restaurant closed its doors in 2014.
