Dos Maderas is produced by Bodegas Williams & Humbert, a historic Spanish sherry house founded in 1877 in Jerez. The rum is initially aged in the Caribbean for five years in ex-bourbon barrels before being shipped to Spain for further maturation in old sherry casks. This transatlantic aging process gives the brand its name, meaning “Two Woods.” The 12 Year Old Origen reflects a minimum of twelve years of combined maturation, blending tropical intensity with controlled European refinement. It remains one of the core expressions that defined the modern sherry-finished rum category.
