Eagle Rare is a brand of straight Bourbon distilled at the Buffalo Trace distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. There are two single-barrel expressions produced by Eagle Rare. The Double Rare Very Rare is a 25 year-old bourbon that matures for for twice as long as the standard Eagle Rare offering. It is on the market as a collectors item, bottled in a crystal decanter and adorned with a glass eagle on the top. Both whiskeys are highly acclaimed – the Eagle Rare in particular is one of the most regular award winners of all Bourbon labels, receiving Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition five times.
