Erin Go Bragh 1967 Single Pot Still Irish Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Fragrant fruits, ginger honey tea, grapefruits, Pocari Sweat, slight grassiness, salt, vanilla.

Palate: Sweet honeycomb, salt, unripened pears and green apples, some grass, eucalyptus.

Finish: Medium long, warm, little citric, some grapefruits, little herbal

Distillery Information

Production stopped at Old Midleton distillery in Co Cork in 1975. The distillery was founded by the Murphy brothers James, Daniel, and Jeremiah at a woolen mill in 1825. The Murphy family were originally tea traders and began distilling whiskey when the trade of Irish whiskey was liberalized by the Excise Act of 1823.
