Distillery Information

Fettercairn distillery, founded in 1824 by Sir Alexander Ramsay, is known for its unique cooling system where water cascades down the spirit stills, creating a light, floral character. The distillery has been owned by prominent families like the Gladstones and later by Whyte & Mackay, which remains the current owner. After facing periods of closure, the distillery relaunched with a new range of single malts in 2018.
