Distillery Information

The Glen Garioch distillery, founded in 1797 by John and Alexander Manson, has a long history marked by numerous ownership changes, including acquisitions by William Sanderson, Booth's Distilleries, and eventually its current owner, Suntory. The distillery has also experienced periods of closure due to water shortages and modernization efforts, such as replacing its peat-fired stills with gas heating in 1972.
