Glen Keith 1991 SV The Un-Chillfiltered Collection Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: After certain notes of glue have evaporated (15 minutes in a glass): rhubarb juice, mineral exhibition, then yellow plums, lemon foam cream. All in all on the tart side with sour notes. With time in the background, Sugus pineapple sweets.

Palate: Tingle shower, refreshing! Prosecco with limoncello, something cocktail-like with lime wedge and a little sugar syrup.

Finish: The citrus fruits and the wood as well as the surprisingly strong alcohol struggle for balance. Bites a little bit, but remains in the frame.

Distillery Information

Glen Keith is one of the younger distilleries in Scotland, having only been founded in 1957 by the Chivas Brothers. It is located in the beautiful Speyside town of Keith, within eyeshot of Strathisla, the oldest distillery in Scotland. 2000 the distillery was closed in 2013 and reopened.
