Glencadam Amarone Wine Cask Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Waves of cherry Bakewell with toasted marzipan, Turkish delight, dried fruits, and baking spices.

Palate: Jammy cherries and red fruits open the way, with hints of strawberry laces and ginger snap biscuits backed by candied orange, and dustings of cocoa.

Finish: Dark chocolate cherries, mocha, and warming, woody spice.

Distillery Information

In 1825, George Cooper founded the Glencadam whisky distillery. The distillery changed hands several times during the 19th century, but only twice in the 20th century. In July of 1954, Andrew Stevenson and Harry Southwell sold Glencadam to Hiram Walker for the sum of £83,400.
