Glengoyne 14 Year Old Limited Edition Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Beautifully clean despite coal-gas bite. The barley is almost in concentrate form with a marmalade sweetness adding richness.

Palate: Crisp, firm arrival with massive barley surge, seriously chewy and textbook bitter-sweet balance; but now some oils have tucked in to intensify and lengthen.

Finish: Incredibly long and refined for such a light malt.

Distillery Information

A distillery has stood on this site since 1833, when the Edmonstone family (the main landowner of the area) began production, passing control to the MacLelland family in the 1850s who, in turn, sold it to the Glasgow-based blender Lang Bros in 1876.
