In Jalisco, Mexico, Seb Francis and Jordan Myers saw locals enjoying tequila slowly. This was different from the fast-drinking style common in other places. They wanted to show the UK the true taste of tequila. Their search led them to a distillery near Tequila town. Here, they created Hacien. The name honours the Jalisco estates where they get their blue agave. Their tequila is smooth with a lot of character. Hacien has three main types: the aromatic Blanco, the rich Añejo Cristalino aged in barrels, and the Pineapple Tequila Blanco. This last one is a mix of Blanco and pineapple. Jordan Myers used to doubt tequila. But a trip to Mexico changed his mind. With Seb Francis, they aim to change how the UK sees tequila. They suggest trying Hacien in different ways: neat, with ice, or in cocktails. Each Hacien bottle is unique. The Pineapple Tequila Blanco has pineapple and agave tastes. The Añejo Cristalino is known for honey and roasted agave flavours. It's clear, even though it's aged in barrels. The Tequila Blanco has a peppery and herby taste with a bit of citrus.
