Invergordon 13 Year Old 2013 Single Cask (Private Bottle) Single Grain Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: That strength shows itself, but then things open up with syrupy sweetness, almond sponge, dense vanilla, and buttered brioche. Maple granola and wood polish.

Palate: Robust, almost like a punchy rum, with a lick of burnt brown sugar, trickles of caramel, and sweet notes of banana and vanilla. It's bold, with peppery, woody spice, kept in check by the creamy grain.

Finish: Banana bread, French toast with vanilla cream, prunes, a touch of menthol and clove right in the depths.
