Distillery Information
"Invergordon Distillery, Scotland's northernmost grain distillery, was founded in 1959 in response to post-naval base job losses, starting production in 1961 to provide local employment and capitalize on the booming Scotch market, becoming vital for blends, especially within Whyte & Mackay (owners since 1993). Known for its light, mellow grain whisky from maize, barley, and wheat, aged in American oak, it's a major contributor to blended whiskies, though its own single grain releases are rare and collectible."
