Distillery Information

Johnnie Walker is the world's biggest-selling brand of blended Scotch whisky. Established in the mid-19th Century, Johnnie Walker has a long distilling history and today is sold in a majority of countries around the world. The brand has its origins in John Walker's grocery shop in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. He died in 1857, three years before blended whisky was made legal in Scotland, and so it was his son and grandsons that were mainly responsible for developing the Walker's blend. The distinctive square bottle was introduced in 1860.
