Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch #11 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: In typical Kilkerran style, there is a citrus element on the nose with notes of lemon and key lime pie, along with touches of toasted rye bread and peat smoke.

Palate: There are notes of toasted marshmallows and campfire embers immediately on the palate, with hints of vanilla and custard.

Finish: The smokiness carries through to the finish, along with a mineral note to round off this dram.

Distillery Information

Glengyle distillery was founded by William Mitchell in 1872, and it remained in family ownership until 1919. After it was closed by West Highland Malt Distilleries in 1925 the distillery and remaining stocks were acquired by Bloch Bros, which had also bought Glen Scotia.
