Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch #13 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Creamy butterscotch and notes of banana fritters and elderflower kick off this heavily peated dram.
Palate: The peat smoke on the palate is complemented by notes of honeydew melon and Iberico ham.
Finish: The smoke continues in the finish along with notes of verbena and honeycomb.

"Kilkerran whisky's story is a tale of revival: founded as Glengyle Distillery in 1872 by William Mitchell, it thrived, then closed in 1925 during Campbeltown's whisky decline. In 2000, the Mitchell family (owners of Springbank) bought the derelict site and reopened it in 2004, resurrecting production but naming the whisky Kilkerran (from the Gaelic for Campbeltown's original name, 'Ceann Loch Cille Chiarain') because Glengyle's name was unavailable."
