Nose: Initially starts off a rich caramel with wafts of butter toffee, light hints of amaretto and freshly roasted macadamia nuts.
Palate: This soft, candy-like gold rum presents itself boldly with no pretenses other than being a good-tasting gold rum.
Finish: Long, warming finish.
Distillery Information
The initial harvest in 1837 produced two tons of raw sugar and rum production began around this time as well. The legacy of sugar and rum in Hawaiʻi lives on today through Kōloa Rum. We were the first licensed distillery on the island of Kauaʻi, where sugarcane production has been a traditional way of life.
