It was matured for 13 years, including a finishing period in a Palo Cortado sherry octave cask, imparting some really rather intriguing notes to the coastal single malt. Nose: Richly smoky, with a hint of honey-roast ham imparting a subtle meaty hint along with a smidge of sweetness.

Palate: Still packed with peat, though now hints of strawberries and coconut have developed.

Finish: Very slightly floral, plus a few aromatic hints of singed oak.
