This spirit came about by a happy accident where a very small amount of 3 year old grain was blended with an 18 year old very well known heavily peated island single malt. The malt has been aged for 16 years in refill bourbon & hogsheads then finished for 2 years in sherry casks. So it’s 99% 18yo malt and 1% 3yo grain, hence "99&1".  Expect seaweed & creosote, dried orange, chilli flakes, sea salt, tobacco, liquorice & white pepper. It’s a truly phenomenal dram.
