Longrow Red 7 Year Old Pinot Noir Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: A herbal, vegetal note is immediately apparent in notes of tomato plant and heather, along with touches of morello cherries and smoky bacon.

Palate: Sweet and savoury meet on the palate, with notes of smoked ham, wine gums, raspberry jam and honey.

Finish: Characteristic coastal notes come to the forefront in the finish of this dram.

Distillery Information

Springbank's heavily-peated expression takes its name from the lost Campbeltown distillery founded by John Ross in 1824, but which closed in 1896. Springbank, which was licensed itself in 1828 – just four years after Ross built Longrow – began distilling heavily-peated spirit in 1973.
