An ancient Mortlach 1938 bottled by G & M in the 1970s. This vintage seems to have been something of an annus mirabilis for Mortlach, with Gordon & Macphail having released several stunning bottlings.

Nose: Full-bodied aroma.

Palate: The palate is an explosion of flavors and the finish is nice.

Mortlach distillery is a distiller of Scotch whisky in Dufftown, Moray, Scotland. Founded in 1823, the distillery is currently owned by Diageo. The whisky is a key component in several Johnnie Walker bottlings., while Diageo also markets four Mortlach single malts. The still pictured above is Dufftown distillery.
